We are conducting research on design methodology in mechanical design. In recent years, with the development of Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE), various problems can be solved more rationally through simulation. One powerful tool for this is optimization.

However, in reality, optimization is not applied as easily as one might think. There are various reasons for this, but we are conducting research to propose ideas and methods to make optimization feasible for problems that are considered difficult to solve.As another solution, we are developing and promoting the use of multi-objective surrogate optimization, which solves problems with multiple objective functions with fewer experiments or analyses.It’s fascinating to effortlessly solve challenging problems.
